"Fragments" is a work that captures the essence of Andean culture through an abstract design rich in symbolism and tradition. Every detail of this tapestry tells a story, intertwining ancestral elements with a contemporary interpretation. Within its geometric forms and flowing lines, deeply rooted Andean symbols stand out. Among them is the chakana, also known as the Andean cross, which represents the connection between the three worlds: the upper or spiritual realm, the earthly or human realm, and the lower or ancestral realm of the roots. This central symbol of Andean spirituality evokes balance, harmony, and the interrelation of all aspects of life.

In addition to the chakana, circles and dots are present, symbolizing the sun and the moon, cosmic guides and sources of energy for Andean communities. Stepped patterns signify spiritual ascent, progress, and the balance required to live in harmony with nature. The vibrant colors reflect the vitality and richness of the Andes: red represents the strength and energy of life; yellow celebrates the fertility and abundance of the earth; blue connects with the immensity of the sky; and green honors nature and the landscapes that sustain Andean communities.

Handwoven using traditional techniques, this tapestry is a testament to the artisanal legacy passed down from generation to generation. While abstract in nature, "Fragments" is filled with meanings that invite the viewer to immerse themselves in a world of cycles, dualities, and harmony.
